Our Journey

Our Story

The Hadiya Community Association in Atlanta was born from a shared dream of preserving our heritage while building a supportive community for families far from home.

1996

A small group of Hadiya families in Atlanta came together with a shared vision: to preserve their cultural heritage while building a supportive community far from home. What started as informal gatherings in living rooms would become the foundation of something much greater.

2018

The Hadiya Community Association was officially established. With a formal structure in place, we began organizing larger cultural events, educational programs, and community support initiatives.

Our first annual cultural festival brought together over 200 community members, featuring traditional music, dance, and cuisine that reminded us all of home.
